Can a hustler have a political career ... without anyone finding out?

With this great American Hustle, writer-director David O. Russell continues dissecting American society after his acclaimed "Silver Linings Playbook." In this new movie he uses the same protagonists, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, who along with Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner and Robert De Niro among others play the group of swindlers, politicians and federal agents staging this great "American Hustle".

American Hustle tells the story of a brilliant con artist, Irving Rosenfeld (Bale), who along with his cunning and seductive companion, Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), is forced to work for a stormy FBI agent, Richie Dimaso (Bradley Cooper). Dimaso drags them into the world of politics and the Mafia in New Jersey, which is as dangerous as it is inviting. But Irving's unpredictable wife, Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could end up pulling the rug from under them, making everything fall apart sooner rather than later.
